Igneous Rock
Igneous rocks are formed by the solidification and crystallization of volcanic magma on the earth’s surface. Granite, obsidian, and basalt, like most igneous rocks, are quite hard and stable, seldom reacting to environmental agents. The rigidity of their crystalline structure makes them highly susceptible to shattering, chipping, and breaking. These rocks need careful packaging and handling to prevent those types of damage.
